I got copies of the DVD versions of "Female Vampire" and "Exorcism" yesterday in NYC and they look fantastic! Only complaint is that "Demoniac" is not The Sadist of Notre Dame cut but rather a tamer version of "Exorcism" (IE less nudity and chopped out sex scenes). Other than that though, the transfers are great. Hopefully one day Redemption will release Franco's preferred version of the film.

Thanks for the info and welcome to the blog, Spencer. What is the exact runtime on both EXORCISM and DEMONIAC? Did you get the Blu-rays? I'm trying to get copies of them to review on the blog. I was hoping DEMONIAC would be SADIST OF NOTRE DAME.

No problem and thank you for the welcome Robert! EXORCISM is 97 mins and DEMONIAC is 69 mins. The film source for this release is the same as the one Synapse used years ago but without the PAL speed up. Like the Synapse DVD, there are shifts in quality between the elements but they are no as drastic on the new Kino/Redemption release (to me anyways). I didn't get the Blu-Rays...I'm poor and only have a DVD player. I think Diabolik DVD has them in stock already. FEMALE VAMPIRE looks really good. It's the same version Image released but it looks better and the French language option finally comes with subtitles! EROTIKILL is only in English but it's really cool to have that as an extra. I already ordered the old VHS of DEMONIAC from the 80s. I know it's supposed to be a butchered version of Sadist, but I just want to get an idea of what it's like.
