Yes, they are very interesting when compared to the Jess Franco/Mario Bava thrillers made at the same time. Remember, Jess Franco also made several Edgar Wallace/Bryan Edgar Wallace thrillers, but they are very different from the German krimis.
I would recommend the BEW adaptation DAS TODESRACHER VON SOHO (1972) on the UFA DVD. It 's very stylish with NO zoom shots but many wide angle set ups, fog filters and color gel lighting effects. It looks completely different from AKASAVA and other JF films of that era.
I kind of like the German version of Dead Eyes of London. But then I simply adore the German Edgar Wallace krimis.
