The brother of Jess Franco, Enrqiue Franco Manera, the respected Spanish music critic and composer, passed away 27 April 2009 in Madrid. He supported his younger brother's studies in composition and music performance in the 1930's and 40s.
Spanish correspondent Nzoog adds: "He was the music critic in the EL PAIS newspaper for a long time and did lots of sleeve notes for classical LPs form the Ensayo label."
Belated condolences to Jess Franco.
Thanks to Nzoog and Alex.

I got a big chill down my spine while clicking rapidly on this subject from work, a quick glimpse made me assume something else. I didn't even know Mr. Franco had a brother. My condolences goes out to him....

Any way we can send out condolences to Franco, Bob?
I don't know his present location, Doug. Perhaps Alex of EL FRANCONOMICON can help.
R.I.P.
