Notes on the CECILIA DVD

Don't mess with Claude Plaut aka Olivier Mathot! He had the final cut on CECILIA, the Eurocine composite version of a Jess Franco film...

Until I get the Spanish version of CECILIA (Aberacciones Sexuales de una mujer Casada) I won't be able to do a detailed comparison with the recent BU DVD, but I do have some interesting notes on my CINEMADROME board in the meantime. Click on the link at the top of the sidebar at left.

Hi Bob! I just had the chance to see the original version: The spanish version is almost identical to the french version (released by BU). The french version just adds the to two flashback scenes that are taking place in Paris (about 8 minutes total). No idea why Eurocine added these two scenes because they are completely pointless (maybe just to have some french actors to write on the poster!?).

Sorry for the delay in responding, your comment came in the SPAM bin. Yes, I've now seen both versions and the extra footage seems shot by O. Mathot for French distribution mainly.
