Naschy, The Exorcist

Here's a great screenshot of Paul Naschy as the priest performing the climactic ritual in Juan Bosch's EXORCISMO (EXORCISM), now available on a terrific new DVD presentation from BCI ECLIPSE. He really looks like he's into it. I just had to share this image with our valued blog readers. I'll be back with a complete review soon. Can anyone tell me in which film Naschy appeared as Satan?
Thanks to Eric Cotenas.

Naschy as Satan? I guess that would be Vengeance of the Zombies, right? :)
Best,

Paul Naschy does briefly appear as Satan in "Vengeance of the Zombies", but I also believe he plays Satan in "El Caminante", which I have not seen.

Rogerio, yes he did appear as Satan in VENGEANCE. Bill, yes the role I was thinking of was in EL CAMINANTE, where he plays the lead part of Satan who comes to earth. It's one of his best films. I hope it appears on DVD. It's really worth seeing. Thanks for participating guys!

And let's not forget EL AULLIDO DEL DIABLO, which also features Howard Vernon and Caroline Munro and where Jacinto plays a dozen roles, including Satan himself in a brief cameo! The plot, regarding a Shakespearian actor living in an isolated villa with a disjointed family of sorts, bears some loose resemblances to Franco's marvellous LA CASA DE LAS MUJERES PERDIDAS.

I haven't seen INQUISITION but there is a production still of a rather barrel-chested-though-masked Satan during a black mass. Is that Paul?

Roberto: thanks for reminding me of EL AULLIDO... one of my favorite PN films which I hope someday gets the SE DVD it deserves. I remember Naschy playing many roles in this. I seem to remember the Devil appearing at the end. I'll have to see it again.

Anon: thanks for reminding me of INQUISITION. I do seem to remember a Satanci mass scene which was very impressive. I'll have to watch it again to see if it's Naschy, he does play an Inquisitor who ends up getting burned for commerce with the devil.
