Now on Ebay: THE OBSCENE MIRROR

Thanks to Eric "ECC"

The rare French (SECAM) prerecord. It's already getting kind of pricey!

This is the altered version of AL OTRO LADO DEL ESPEJO (1973).

Isn't that cover image from LES POSEDEES DU DIABLE, though?

That is Philippe Lemaire (1927-2004) and Emma Cohen, I believe. It's just before the kills him during the party. Since the shot is printed sideways it's difficult to ID at first. She does look somewhat like Romay there.

It's Lemaire and Jacqueline Laurent, actually. In this scene, she's about to come down with a major case of the crabs.

Being such a small, cropped image printed this way makes it a tricky call. You're saying it's the scene where Linda's father and stepmother are in bed before the crustacean's emerge. But that would be a different actor. I still go with Lemaire and Emma Cohen. I hope Howard Vernon (Frederick Durand), our Franco expert from Montreal sees this. I think he may have this prerecord and could perhaps chime in...

Tough one, indeed. I don't have the original tape for this one, only a VHS dub.

I suppose this is Lemaire and Cohen. It can't be Lemaire and Laurent, as, in LORNA, the husband and wife are Laurent and Guy Delorme (not Lemaire and Laurent).

At any rate, I must be wrong about crediting the shot to LES POSEDEES DU DIABLE as Philippe Lemaire isn't in it; Laurent's husband was played by Guy Delorme. My mind was playing tricks on me. Doesn't look like Emma Cohen to me, though.

I agree that it doesn't look like Emma Cohen. It seems that her image has been altered or "touched up" or maybe replaced to make her look "hotter" or sexier. I wouldn't put it past the video label. In any case, I'm certainly not going to bid on this as I don't like the film and am not that much of a collector to pay what will be over 100 dollars for an old video. Although I bet the winner could resell it at maybe double his/her investment!

Whoever she is, she's certainly being "touched up"! ; )
